When possible Yes please. It has always been our recommendation to pre-book on our website as we cannot guarantee there will be availability on the day for walk-ins.

Any walk-in customers will be asked to book on their smartphone via our website.

It is very important that you arrive 15 minutes before departure. This is to ensure that there is time for you to check in and receive instructions on safety, how to control the boat and route directions for your adventure! Late arrivals may result in a reduced time period for your hire slot. No refunds will be given.

A member of staff will instruct you where to park the boat and tie it up for you. As we have careful footfall management procedures in place you will be asked to remain in your boat until our crew advise otherwise.

We politely ask that groups do not congregate around our site after their trip and kindly vacate the area to make way for the next customers.

We have taken careful consideration into how to manage customers around our boat hire site. We ask that you come to our main entrance which is on the Lake shore behind the Old Pump House Cafe and please come to the white gates where you will be greeted by a member of our team. Once your booking has been confirmed you and your party will guided into our premises where we can provide all members of your party with buoyancy aids and carry out our safety brief.

Yes. Buoyancy aids are available for all passengers.

Our Standard 'Mystic' boats are licensed for a maximum 8 persons as are our Premium Plus boats 'Isla', 'Eden' & 'Michelle'. Our Premium boats 'Zena' & 'Zelda' are licensed for a maximum of 6 persons and Our New Mystic boats 'Glorietta', 'Alice' & 'Chloe' are licensed for 6 persons (this includes children).

You will receive information about safety and handling your boat before you set off. However, should you have any specific concerns about safety please do not hesitate to ask.

Yes, Well behaved dogs are welcome on our boats. We do Apply a £5 extra fee per boat if Dogs are travelling with you. (£5 Charge per boat not per Dog)

We positively encourage first-time boaters! On arrival you will be instructed on the operation of the boat, handling your boat, and advice on the rules and regulations of boating on Lake Windermere. Our boats are extremely easy to operate with a simple joystick throttle control.

Swimming is NOT permitted from our boats. The boats are not equipped with ladders and therefore it is not safe to swim. We recommend that any swimming in Windermere is done from public areas around the Lake shore

Our Standard Mystic boats and Premium Plus boats 'Zena' & 'Zelda' are ideal for fishing however you are permitted to have a current Environment Agency rod license - available online from the Environment Agency or through Information Centres.

Yes. We would encourage you to bring and food and drink that you would like to consume whilst out on the water and would politely ask for you to take all rubbish away with you when leaving. We reserve the right to keep your deposit if the boat is returned in an unclean state.
